Finance Manager

About Organization

Bosconet is a non–profit organization a network of Don Bosco reaching out to 28 states of India. It primarily focuses on mobilizing resources for Education, Skilling for sustainable livelihood, Women Empowerment, Climate action and disaster response with an annual reach of 1 million young children and Women in vulnerable situations.

Location: Dashrathpuri, New Delhi

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including financial statements, budget performance reports, and donor-specific reports.

• Manage accounting functions, including preparing balance sheets, utilization statements, and maintaining financial information systems and records.

• Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing regular updates to the Director.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

• Prepare and monitor the organizational annual budget and track quarterly expenditures.

• Maintenance of books of account through Tally ERP.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with applicable financial standards, rules, regulations, and internal control systems.

• Assist in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines as per regulatory changes.

• Ensure donor compliance in financial reporting and manage statutory matters (PF, ESI, Income Tax, TDS, and Gratuity).

• Oversee income tax, (FCRA) matters and prepare reports for submission to respective Ministries.

• Issue guidelines to employees on income tax matters and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.

• Timely deduction, deposition, and filing of TDS returns.

• Payroll processing.

• Audit compliance and coordination with internal and external auditors.

• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

• Coordination with banks and bank reconciliation.

Grant and Donor Management:

• Manage the financial aspects of donor-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and financial reporting requirements.

• Develop accounting guidelines for new projects, monitor management and project audits, and track fund status against actual bank balances for reporting to donors.

• Provide timely financial reports to donors and funding agencies.

• Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions related to grants and projects.

Audit and Risk Management:

• Support the coordination and management of internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are addressed.

• Implement and monitor risk management strategies, including adequate internal controls.

• Ensure coordination with banks, manage bank reconciliation, and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, in the non-profit.

• Experience working with donor-funded projects and international funding agencies.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and statutory compliance.

• Proficiency in financial management software (Tally ERP) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with crossfunctional teams.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership abilities.

Remuneration: Commensurate with experience and competence.
