Position Description
The Program Associate – Academics will provide crucial support to the academic team by coordinating with consultants and vendors, assisting in the development of academic materials, and gathering feedback from classrooms. Additionally, this role involves providing administrative and accounts support to the team. The Program Associate will be required to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and attention to detail, ensuring smooth coordination for academic activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordination with Consultants and Vendors
Manage the selection and contracts for designers, illustrators, proofreaders, and consultants.
Coordinate design and editing work.
Support in formulating Scopes of Work (SOW) for consultants.
Track tasks and ensure timely coordination.
Assist in budget tracking and expense management.
Support in Academic Work
Coordinate with state teams for material development, revision, and quality improvement through feedback.
Collaborate with designers, proofreaders, writers, illustrators, and language experts for Literacy and Numeracy materials.
Participate in material development workshops.
Visit classrooms and training sites to observe material usage and gather feedback.
Administrative and Accounts Support
Verify and process invoices from consultants and vendors.
Maintain soft and hard copies of project materials.
Develop a database of vendors/consultants for future reference.
Provide logistical support for academic team workshops and meetings.
Perform any other tasks as required based on team needs.
Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Skills
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience working with educational materials and coordinating with consultants and vendors.
Previous experience in administrative and accounts support is preferred.
