Job Title: Nursing Trainer
Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan
Reporting to: Specialist - Programs and Training
Ipas Development Foundation (IDF) has been working in India since 2001 to improve the sexual and reproductive health ecosystem in the country. In close collaboration with the national government and formal partnerships with state governments, we work in communities and with the public and private health systems to enhance access to sexual and reproductive health services, particularly comprehensive abortion care and choice-based contraception.

Ipas Development Foundation is implementing the Vikalp Project in Rajasthan that aims to increase the utilization and uptake of underutilized reversible contraceptives among low-parity women and couples. It is being implemented in collaboration with the National Health Mission.
The Nursing Trainer will be based at Udaipur, Rajasthan and will be responsible for improving the quality of family planning trainings under the public health system and ensuring that project goals pertaining to the state are achieved.
Who are we looking for?
A highly skilled and dedicated professional with a BSc or MSc in Nursing and 2 to 3 years of experience as a nurse in a public health program. Experience in conducting trainings and working in a program on Family Planning or reproductive health is preferred. Candidate should be fluent in Hindi and English and capable of handling basic data analysis in MS Excel. He/she should be willing to travel extensively in Udaipur and nearby districts.
What would you be expected to do?
The Nursing Trainer will support the Specialist - Programs and Training in implementing approved training plans. The responsibilities of the Nursing Trainer will include the following:
Ensure all trainings related to reversible contraceptives follow the training standards and guidelines including Values Clarification for Action and Transformation (VCAT) sessions.
Conduct regular capacity building for project team members.
Conduct field visits, identify skill gaps and provide on the job mentoring to nursing staff and frontline workers.
Identify success stories related to change in facility readiness, counselling skills and change in providers attitude and share it with the supervisor.
