Founded in 2011, Kat-Katha strives to end forced sex work with passionate changemakers, embodying love, trust, and diversity to create a significant impact. In the last 13 years we have been able to support over 2000 women who were lured into sex work and over 100 children on the GB Road with various life changing initiatives.
The Bridge School Programme at Kat-Katha aims to bridge the gap between the marginalised community of sex workers and society by creating safe and holistic learning spaces. Our focus is on providing comprehensive support in health, education, psychological well-being, self-expression, and exposure for children aged 0-18+ years. We strive to foster a nurturing environment that equips children with essential life skills, literacy, and numeracy while promoting emotional and social development.
Need :
Kat-Katha is seeking an individual who has passion for education and is willing to bring new ideas and drive change. The Program Manager will manage and support various educational programs at the centre, ensuring effective implementation and delivery of services. This role involves coordinating activities, engaging with stakeholders, and monitoring project progress to enhance educational outcomes for participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design Lead the ideation, planning and execution of educational initiatives, projects and team development. Work around monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.
Coordination: Manage schedules, resources, and communications among teachers, volunteers and team.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, monthly reports, including proposals, reports, budgets, Trackers, database.
Monitoring: Track project progress of the work done by teachers, volunteers.
Volunteer management: Organise and facilitate volunteer engagement and support them with the overall execution of their work plan.
Evaluation: Regular assessment of the effectiveness of programs, making recommendations for improvements and providing proper support to them in the execution.
Team training: Design and implement the end to end capacity building of the team and volunteers.
Relationship building with different stakeholders like parents, Mainstream school, Teachers etc.
Bridging the gap : Provide support to the school team in easy implementation of their processes.
Requirements :
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative team player with a passion for education and student success.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Valid experience of teaching in the past.
Crisis management
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Good understanding of documentation, reports and regular updates.
