FOUNDATION FOR ECOLOGICAL SECURITY

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Program Manager

LOCATION: Anand (Gujarat), Bhubaneswar (Odisha)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential functions but not exhaustive):

1 . Work closely with teams to gather relevant information and success stories about the different economic opportunities and income potentials of FES core model.

2 . Plan and coordinate pilots focusing on enhancing economic opportunities for natural resource-dependent communities.

3. Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends on issues of value chain and enterprise development.

4. Build and maintain strong linkages with stakeholders within the FPO ecosystem

5 . Assist in formulating short-term and long-term strategic plans for promoting Agri-allied and non-farm livelihoods in rural communities.

6 . Establish collaborations and build partnerships with like-minded organisations, government, private institutions, and aid agencies to enhance programme effectiveness, leverage resources, and support effective programme implementation.

7 . Taking up any other task as deemed fit or as assigned by the reporting officer from time to time.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

• Master’s Degree in Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Agriculture/Agriculture Technology/ Agri business management/ Development Management/ Social Work and related domains

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in promoting agriculture-based livelihoods, agribusiness financing, promoting producer/farmer collectives etc.

• Demonstrated behavioral competencies of Gender, Diversity and Inclusion.

• Ability to interact harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of organizational goals and objectives, through a commitment to teamwork.

• Multi-tasking, problem solving ability, communication skills – written and oral.

REMUNERATION & OTHER DETAILS :

• FES provides renewable contractual employment and compensation levels and other monetary / non-monetary benefits at FES are considered good within the development sector. The Cost to Organization (CTO) for the position is as per the experience and role.
