Project Associate (Accounts)

Job Locations – (01) Joshimath and (01) Tehri Garhwal
The role of Project Associate (Accounts): The overall mandate of the position is to provide financial management support to the project. Ensure financial documentation and support to FPO teams in book keeping and all the accounts related matters.
Working in close coordination and supervision of the Finance & Admin Officer, Team Leader and Project team members on project implementation and progress reporting
Assist Project Manager in implementing and managing the project accounts and finance management.
The Project Associate (Accounts) will be responsible for managing and handholding to the FPO teams of Garhwal region in managing the accounts and reporting systems.
Checking of bill/invoice at the primary stage and discuss with the reports to Himmotthan Accounts Team for any errors and finding solutions. Assist in making voucher and other document in order to facilitate the Himmotthan Cluster teams.
Support to Cluster team to prepare financial reports in line with programmatic report and share with the Head office.
Maintain and Update the Stock register and Fixed assets register of Project Assets and report the same to Himmotthan Society Finance Team.
Trained to field staff FPO teams by providing basic knowledge and understanding of the financial Management like maintaining of Cash book, Day book, Stock register etc.
To maintain the books and records, cash and petty cash will be one of the major responsibilities.
To support periodic audits and also the Assets inventory and management.
To assist the Project Manager in monitoring and supporting the implementation of the Project.

Qualification, Skills and Ability
Graduation/Master’s degree in commerce
The candidate must be having minimum 03 year working experience and ability to multitasking.
S/he should have good book keeping skills and computer accounting skills. Efficient working experience on Tally accounting software.
Experience in working and traveling in a rural setting. Open to travel and (preferably) can drive in the mountains
Good interpersonal and documentation skills
Open to feedback and Flexible to operate in a frugal setting

Himmotthan, the associate organization which manages the Himmothan Pariyojana, has been working in the central Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand since 2007. The expansion of Himmotthan work beyond Central Himalayan region of Uttarakhand to Western Himalayan region is being seen as a natural growth of the organisation that has evolved through constant learning and incorporation of new ideas aimed towards the betterment of the rural communities. Himmotthan works in the state of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Leh region and is focused on working among the rural mountain communities by developing sustainable community owned enterprises linked to livestock, agriculture, non-timber forest produce, and intervening for better education, access to safe water, sanitation and energy.
