About the Role
The Coordinator provides focus and direction to all of Aarohan’s initiatives through building a vision and a strategic plan for the organization. They are result-oriented and advocate for the change required in the wider ecosystem as well as in the organizations. They are brand ambassadors for the organization as well as the wider mission. Additionally, the Coordinator is directly responsible for the sustainability of the organization through building and nurturing a strong team and culture at the organization and managing compliance, and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NGO, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of programs. Manage and mentor the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Fundraising: Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and sponsors. Organize Fundraising events and campaigns to raise funds and increase donor engagement. Prepare grant proposals and reports for existing and potential funding sources.
Visibility and Public Relations: Enhance the visibility and reputation of the NGO through strategic communication and public relations efforts. Develop and implement a marketing and communication plan, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases. Build and maintain relationships with media, community leaders, and other stakeholders. Represent the NGO at conferences, meetings, and public events.
Strategic Planning: Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan to scale up the organization’s programs and impact.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Set clear goals and objectives, and establish metrics to track progress and measure success. Collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
Program Development, Monitoring and Evaluation: Work with program managers to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives. Ensure programs are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals, and meet the needs of the target population. Monitor program outcomes and impact, and make recommendations for improvements and scaling.
Program Development and Management: Develop, implement, and manage programs that align with NGO’s mission and goals. Monitor program progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure goals are met. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
Donor Reports and communication: Prepare and submit detailed donor reports within the timelines. Ensure regular and transparent communication with donors regarding the progress and impact of the programs.
Ensuring Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all programs. Prepare and distribute quarterly newsletter and Annual report. Maintain a daily diary of activities, staff & board meetings, and program progress.
Team Management: Lead and manage the program team, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow. Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project/ program budgets. Monitor expenses and ensure programs operate within allocated budgets.
Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices. Continuously improve program processes and methodologies.
Social Media: Must have solid understanding of various social media platforms, including how to create engaging content, manage social media accounts, analyze performance metrics, and leverage these platforms for community engagement, outreach and brand promotion.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social work.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the non-profit sector, with a focus on education, skill development, health and related areas.
In-depth knowledge of issues impacting marginalized communities, with a strong commitment to social inclusion and equality.
Solid understanding of project management practices, including budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a proactive and solution driven mindset.
Experience in designing and delivering training programs or workshops is an added advantage.

Salary: Up to 2.5 lacs per annum
