Job Description

Pragati, Koraput is working in Koraput District of South Odisha for the socio-economic development of bottom of pyramid population in the sectors of Sustainable Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation, Women Micro-Entrepreneurship.

Pragati is currently recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert. He/she will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the projects maintain the strategic vision and that the activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree preferably in Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Work or related field.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the design M & E /MIS, designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports in development projects implemented by NGOs/Government, development of project proposals and concept notes for resource mobilization. He/she should have efficient communication and writing skills in English.

Preferred Skill set:

1. He/she should have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal and written).

2. He/she should have knowledge on Logical Framework, result based activity framework and Theory of change.

3. He/she should have knowledge and skill with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

4. He/she should have skills on documentation and reporting in English and Oriya

Age: Not more than 50 years. Age may be relaxed in case of experienced and suitable candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Designing and implementing the M&E activities of the Projects implemented by Pragati, assisting Team Leaders/Programme staff in preparing reports on project progress.

2. Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Senior Management of Pragati.

3. Responsible for donor research, drafting proposals and concept notes.

4. Establish linkage with different resource agencies.

5. Monitor the project activities regularly, developing and maintaining the MIS of the Projects and will be responsible for ensuring the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.

6. Develop and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures of the programmes implemented by Pragati.

7. Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the success of programmes.

8. Provide feedback to the Senior Management on project strategies and activities

9. Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.

Salary: Rs 45000 + EPF and other allowances.
