2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) was founded in 2015, with a vision to develop strong foundational language and literacy among all children, to facilitate thinking and reasoning, through capacity building of teachers and teacher educators. The organization works with various state governments and has been recognized as a domain leader in language and literacy learning and multilingual education.
About the Programs:
LLF is a member of a number of national and state-level committees and working groups for the new National Education Policy, 2020, Early Childhood Education and Foundational Learning, Curriculum, and Pedagogy, and is committed to supporting the national agenda of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). It is implementing India’s first CSR-funded Education Development Impact Bond (DIB) through its Learning Improvement Program in Haryana.
LLF is a system-focused and impact-driven organization dedicated to addressing the foundational learning crisis in collaboration with the national and state governments in India. Over the past 8 years, LLF has improved foundational learning
outcomes of 850,000+ children and classroom processes of 2,50,000+ teachers and teacher educators across 8 states. LLF currently works with 8 state governments across the country.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director of State Programs, the Senior Program Manager (SPM) will serve as the primary liaison for LLF’s initiatives in Haryana. S/he will play a pivotal role in guiding the team to ensure the successful and timely implementation of projects, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to drive collaborative efforts and achieve desired outcomes.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(A) Project Management:
(1) Act as the single point of contact for critical project decisions across states;
(2) Manage stakeholders, including senior officials, funders, partners, and state governments to achieve project outcomes;
(3) Monitor project timelines, progress, risks, dependencies, and delegate responsibilities effectively;
(4) Develop strategic and short-term project plans, utilizing tools for monitoring progress and managing escalations.
(B) Cross-Functional Support:
(1) Lead collaboration across teams to ensure sufficient backend support and internal alignment within Haryana initiatives;
(2) Analyze data to identify trends across multiple state programs, contributing to organizational learning;
(3) Document program activities, monitor data, develop case studies, and compile evidence of outcomes;
(4) Review expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets and implement an effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system in collaboration with the M&E team.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification and Experience:
(1) Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred;
(2) Minimum five to six of experience in program management, preferably with exposure to managing projects involving senior government functionaries.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Proficient in data monitoring and analysis, with a strong ability to interpret and utilize data to inform decision-making:
(2) Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and execute strategic and short-term project plans;
(3) Strong communication skills in both English and Hindi, including the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels;
(4) Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex organizational landscapes;
(5) Capacity to work under pressure with tight timelines, adapt to changing project requirements, and ensure timely deliverables;
(6) Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices, particularly in the context of education and non-profit sectors.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
