Role Overview:
As a Program Manager at PRIDE India, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission of creating sustainable change in marginalized communities. You will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of thematic programs, ensuring alignment with PRIDE India's strategic goals and focus areas. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, partners, and team members, you will contribute to building scalable, innovative, and impactful solutions to address the challenges faced by underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Development:
• Develop and implement strategic plans for thematic areas, aligning with PRIDE India's five-year focus and overarching objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify program priorities, beneficiaries, and resource requirements.
• Design and drive innovative interventions addressing challenges in livelihoods, health, and child-centric development.
• Lead projects with Farmer Collectives to enhance income through value addition of produce, particularly in the Lanja and Sangameshwar blocks of Ratnagiri district.
Project Implementation and Management:
• Ensure timely and effective implementation of programs, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Guide and support program teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures where needed.
• Oversee execution of activities in intervention villages, ensuring alignment with planned outcomes.
• Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability and transparency.
• Lead initiatives to set up processing units for farmers at the cluster level, facilitating value addition and improving market access.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships:
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, donors, community leaders, and partner organizations.
• Collaborate with external partners to leverage resources, networks, and expertise for program implementation and scale-up.
• Represent PRIDE India at relevant forums, advocating for the organization’s mission and fostering new partnerships.
Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing:
• Develop capacity-building initiatives for program staff, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and community members to enhance skills in project management, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
• Provide training on improved agricultural techniques, with a focus on crop production and value addition for horticultural crops like cashew and mangoes.
• Document and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL):
• Establish robust MEL frameworks to track program performance and impact.
• Conduct monitoring visits, assessments, and reviews to evaluate program relevance and effectiveness.
• Utilize data insights for decision-making, program redesign, and demonstrating accountability to stakeholders.
• Report MEL outcomes to internal teams, donors, and government partners, ensuring transparency and alignment with objectives.
Other Duties:
• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Reporting Manager to support organizational goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, Agriculture, or related fields.
• Proven experience in project management, with a focus on agriculture, livelihoods, or community development in rural settings.
• Proven experience in Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), agricultural marketing, or value chain development will be a significant advantage.
• Strong knowledge of thematic areas such as poverty alleviation, value chain development, and social justice.
• Experience working in collaboration with government agencies and donor organizations.
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computer applications, financial management tools, and reporting systems.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Marathi or Hindi is an advantage.
• Commitment to PRIDE India's values, with a passion for sustainable development and community empowerment.
Preferred Attributes:
• Familiarity with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and experience designing programs aligned with them.
• Proven ability to innovate, adapt, and build replicable models for community development.
• Knowledge of digital tools for data collection, training, and outreach.
• Prior experience in rural Maharashtra or similar settings is highly desirable.

Starting with the establishment of Maharashtras first successful Women & Credit Society, the organization expanded its reach to address diverse issues including Early Childhood Care and Development interventions, a residential home for tribal Katkari children (Jeevanshala), and the SPARSH health venture in Sastur after the Latur Earthquake. The organization played a crucial role in the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Scheme,earning recognition for its efforts.
In the wake of Ms. Vipula Kadri;s passing in 2007, the Kadri family continued the legacy, with Ms. Isha Kadri (now Isha Mehra) guiding the organization. The holistic village development project, & Shashwat Gram, encompassed health, sanitation, livelihood, education, and community participation. In 2020, PRIDE India responded to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic by collaborating with the Navi-Mumbai Municipal Corporation. They established state-of-the-art infrastructure for Mother and Child Health, recognizing the need for a multi-disciplinary approach.
