Job Description: We seek a passionate and experienced candidate as a Computer Trainer to teach children within the school premises Computer lab established by Kriti. Should have strong knowledge in computer applications and the ability to teach and guide students of various skill levels.

About Kriti:

Kriti Social Initiatives is a not-for-profit organization that has been working in the slums of Hyderabad since 2009 on the twin issues of promoting education for children and empowering women through training and livelihoods. By working in the economic empowerment of women and the education of children, Kriti works towards the larger vision of eliminating urban poverty.

About the Project:

Project Pratibha aims to provide free computer training to school-going children and young adults living in Hyderabad.

• The computer lab in the centre will have sufficient desktop computers.

• Many types of software will be taught to the students.

• The computer lab can also be used for other educational programs based on the enrolment.

• Orientation & need-based training will be given to the trainer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Managing the computer lab in a school location and also ensuring that equipment remains in excellent working condition.

• Working timings of the school lab would be 9:00 am to 4:00 PM. (Eligible for a week off and school holidays).

• Conduct computer training sessions to 6th – 9th Class students on regular basis. The 10th class is optional based on the school timetable and availability of the class.

• Can able to develop and update training materials and curriculum.

• Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students.

• Conduct FA’s and SA’s (Assessment tests to monitor the progress of the students).

• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safeguarding assets in the lab –computers, furniture, peripherals, resources, projector, etc.

• Able to resolve technical issues in the lab and case of a major problem, able to get the issue resolved by an external technical expert after informing the management.

• Conduct classroom training sessions as per the training content provided.

• Maintain batch-wise student data, attendance records of students, assessment records, and also physical records that will be shared with the Project coordinator every week.

Our Requirements:

• Degree in computer science or related discipline.

• Prior experience as a computer teacher.

• Excellent communication skills in English, Telugu or Hindi

• Written and administrative skills.

• Nurturing, adaptable approach to instructing.

• Passionate about fostering computer literacy and academic excellence.

Salary offered: Rs 18,000 - Rs 21,000 per month depending on experience
