The Child in Need Institute is looking for Inclusive Learning Centre Facilitator with following details.

Post- City Coordinator

Type of Employment- Contractual

Duration- 12 months (Renewable)

Essential Qualifications- Master’s in law/ Social Work/ Sociology /Social Science / Psychology/Rural Development

Experience- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ of experience on Child Protection with good coordination skills

Computer Skills- The candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong writing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Power point, Canva. The candidate must have good knowledge on creating photobook, video documentation & case bank preparation.

Languages known – Excellent coordination skills in English. Working knowledge of Bengali and Hindi is mandatory. Must have knowledge of understanding Odiya.

Age-25 to 50 years

Job responsibilities:

1. Overseeing implementation of the project activities ensuring that services are delivered on time, on budget and in compliance with donor regulations

2. Developing work-plans and follow up with Field level team members regularly to ensure that activities are on track

3. Responsible for coordinating trainings of various stakeholders on child protection issues

4. Review and prepare project related data and detailed implementation plans to ensure that child protection issues and child rights approaches are integrated.

5. Continue to develop understanding on children’s meaningful participation throughout the program, and develop/implement strategies to enable children identify and address the issues of concern to them and promote their voices locally & globally

6. Monitoring program progress against both programmatic and budgetary targets, making adjustments to programme design as necessary

7. Ensuring appropriate, timely and accurate data collection against agreed indicators to enable both internal and external reporting.

8. Responsible for the overall systematic functioning of the project

9. Ensure effective documentation of the program and progress by capturing lessons learnt and good practices, assisting documentation personnel on preparing presentations, reports, newsletters, meeting minutes and other related materials.

10. Ensuring project deadlines are met.

11. Providing administrative support as needed in the respective city.

12. Guide and train the team in responding effectively to case intervention, and identify training needs of the team.

13. Establishing liaison with different level of stakeholders at the community level as well as Departmental level

14. Need based English / Bengali / Hindi content development/translation/IEC/BCC

15. Guide and train the community mobilisers, ILC facilitator in responding effectively to case intervention, and identify training needs of the team.

16. Provide trainings to the facilitators for curriculum development, engagement plan for the target groups at ILCs

17. Conducting trainings of gender, sex & sexuality, special observation days, inclusive sports league, youth conclave, career counselling workshops.

18. Facilitation in formation of theatre groups for documentary festivals, strengthening community structures for gender inclusivity

19. Providing handholding support to the all the resource person in curriculum development, research study on Gender-Based Discriminations and violence, evidence-based action research study.

20. Liaison with all stakeholders- JJ officials, Ward representatives, political elected representatives, influential person, members of Ward level CPC, health officials & workers, CSOs, trade unions, Government representatives, local employers, school, colleges, Municipal corporation staff, ICC members & others

21. Conduct skill development and empowerment trainings of youth and transgender, facilitating, supervising spoken English classes to make the youth job ready, enrolment of Girls, Transgender in National Open school, linkages to vocational training institutes, computer literacy programme.

22. Facilitating women and LGBTIQ+ for microenterprise development in non-traditional career option

23. Conducting, supervising, organising the state level and national level conference.

24. Ensuring Monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual review of the project activities.

25. Performing any tasks assigned by the senior management.

Administrative Related:

1. Follow-up of all register.

2. Preparing, keeping track of all documents related for donor communication.

3. Organize team building sessions with the team, manage and resolve the team dynamics,

4. Undertake capacity building of the team, address issues faced by the team related to work.

5. Budget & expenditure monitoring

6. Tracking of all project related bill, vouchers, vendor payment, TOR signing & other
