Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation, management, and coordination of the project under the guidance of the Project Director. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful mobilization, enrollment, and effective implementation of the project activities.
The Project Manager will oversee various aspects, including center visits, volunteer management, monitoring and evaluation, resource management, capacity building, documentation, budgeting, and financial management. They will also be responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring effective communication and reporting.
Mobilization and Enrolment:
• Conduct regular center visits to monitor and evaluate project activities.
• Manage and track center expenses, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget.
• Serve as a liaison between management and center staff, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
• Oversee volunteer activities at the center and ensure their engagement and contribution.
• Organize exposure visits for beneficiaries to enhance their learning and development.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly reports summarizing project progress and outcomes.
Project Implementation and Management:
• Identify potential project areas and conduct needs assessment surveys.
• Develop detailed project implementation plans, defining project outcomes and timelines.
• Manage human resources and staffing needs, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution of activities.
• Develop and implement methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of the projects.
• Conduct regular center visits to assess program reach, impact, and address any challenges.
• Facilitate community meetings to gather feedback and suggestions for project improvement.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
• Define assessment indicators and ensure proper data collection using technology.
• Facilitate job readiness and placement activities for beneficiaries.
• Provide regular project updates to the Project Director in a timely manner.
• Handle procurement activities for lab setup and ensure its completion.
Resource and Personnel Management:
• Efficiently manage project resources to achieve project goals within the allocated budget.
• Identify staffing and resource requirements and ensure their availability.
• Evaluate staff performance, provide training and mentoring to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
• Share best practices and hands-on experience to align with program objectives.
Capacity Building and Training:
• Plan and execute workshops and training sessions for beneficiaries and project staff.
• Engage volunteers and manage event planning for capacity building activities.
• Build the capacity of teachers and trainers involved in the project.
• Orient and train new team members to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Conduct monthly team meetings and interactions to foster collaboration and learning.
• Develop training materials and resources to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
• Continuously work on improving the capacity and skills of project staff.
Documentation and Communication:
• Maintain an online database to track beneficiaries and project-related information.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform project decision-making.
• Document project activities and their impact, including success stories and case studies.
• Communicate project updates and information promptly to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop process documents related to the project to ensure standardized implementation.
Budget and Financial Management:
• Prepare and approve budget plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Allocate and disburse funds as per project requirements.
• Track project expenses and spending to ensure budget compliance.
Monitoring and Impact Assessment:
• Ensure project work is delivered within budget and resource constraints.
• Oversee project areas and assess the impact of implemented activities.
• Manage project resources effectively to optimize their utilization.
• Build the capacity of project staff to enhance their monitoring and evaluation skills.
General Activities:
• Prepare and collect case studies to demonstrate project impact and success.
• Administer day-to-day project activities and ensure their smooth operation.
• Handle data entry and collection to maintain accurate and updated records.
• Distribute relevant information among team members to foster communication and collaboration.
• Collect and follow up on reports from project staff and beneficiaries.
