About Reach India Trust
Reach India started its journey as a training and capacity building organization. Over the years we have developed our core expertise in training and capacity building processes and along with that have developed a comprehensive package of trainings, implementation and technical support.
Reach’s core expertise reside in population health subjects including reproductive sexual health, rights, maternal and child health , nutrition, gender education, sanitation and WASH.
This core is linked to other thematic areas such as livelihoods, financial education and skill building/vocational skills, as we foresee, to impart knowledge, life skills and also facilitate employment and market linkages for the young women, adolescent girls and youth.
About the Project:
Reach India Trust with support from its corporate partner Nomi Network is currently implementing a program on vocational skill building for unemployed and marginally poor youths (girls & women).
The program known as Work Force Development (WFD) promotes market appropriate skills for youths (female) mobilised from urban slums, provide training course to them, grooming them for interviews and with support of employers assist them to gain better employability options.
Job Title: Project Manager
Positions: 1 (One), Female Candidate Only
Location – Siliguri, West Bengal
Qualification: The candidate should be master’s in psychology and have minimum 2-3 years of experience in heading Skill Development projects. She should have good experience in running a programme as a Manager. Working experience in development sector will be preferred. Age criteria would be within 40 years. The candidate should be willing to travel within West Bengal.
Job Description:
• She will take the responsibility in successfully running the project in Siliguri, West Bengal.
• She will responsible in generating leads for placement of the candidates in different institution/organization or companies as per the need.
• Project Manager will be responsible to submit a monthly report to the head office like activities or Work done in project, monthly target vs. achievement vs. progress. She would also prepare and send a tentative plan for the next month with projection.
• With support from the staff, Project Manager will conduct meeting with the project staff take necessary account of the progress of the project and provide necessary feedback and guidance to the team. Project Manager will be responsible to prepare meeting minutes of the meeting conducted with the project team and communicate this to the Chief of operations and programmes and the Manager – Finance.
• Project Manager will extend support to the project team for planning and designing of the project activities.
• Project Manager will monitor the target vs. achievement of each project from time to time. In case any major gap observed in achieving the targets at any point of time, the Project Manager would take necessary and appropriate corrective action / guidance to accomplish the target.
• Apart from the project progress, Project Manager will also look after the financial progress of the project expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progress.
• Project Manager should maintain good working relations with each project team and always work on the minimizing conflicts that arise within the team.
• Project Manager have to maintain good communication with all the stakeholders who directly or indirectly contribute toward the successful achievement and accomplishment of the project.
• Project Manager would be responsible for initiating different innovative ways of community engagement, community led initiatives for better community mobilization.
• Project Manager would always motivate, lead and manage the team and always encourage the team to remain optimistic even when faced with challenges and encourage good performance and values.
• She would oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for the donor and the project staff.
• She would be responsible for implementing any systems and procedure that has been introduced by the head office.
• She would ensure project activities to be comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization as well as Reach India Trust.
• She would be responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes, and on regular basis to the donor and the head office.
• She would be liable to conduct performance appraisal of the staff on a quarterly / half yearly / annual basis or as per the requirement of the project.
• She would be responsible for providing necessary data, information / documents / case studies / photographs to the head office for any documentation purpose, such as annual report, progress report, project report or any type of report.
• She would contribute and be responsible for the business development of the organization and explore new opportunities pertinent to the business development of Reach India Trust.
• Project Manager will report to the Chief of Operations and programmes of Reach India trust.
• She would be responsible for all approvals pertaining to the project in consultation with the Head Office.
Report writing and Documentation:
• Documentation on the counselling activities of the centre as Reach India initiatives.
• Coordinate, implement and document the counselling processes with the support of other staff.
• Assist in the process of placement and reporting as and when needed.
CTC: Up to INR 3 Lakh 60 Thousand per Annum. (Depending on Candidate’s experience)
