Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Institute (WASH Institute), established in 2008, is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing practical solutions to tackle a wide range of water, sanitation, hygiene and environmental issues in India and the neighbouring countries. WASH Institute aims to build the capacities of the sector through programs that provide a) training and academic courses, b) technical advisory and consultancy services, and c) grass roots community WASH programs.
WASH Institute has been conducting extensive training programs for government functionaries, private sector professionals, NGOs, and other practitioners with the objective of effective WASH implementation across the country. In addition, our academic campus offers Diploma and Masters level courses in sanitation, under affiliation to a leading university.
As part of our WASH Advisory program, we provide PMU services to central, state, and local governments in both urban and rural areas to support implementation of SBM, JJM, and AMRUT schemes. We are a multi-disciplinary team that tackle complex multi-faceted problems of behaviour change, quality of service, and sustainability of WASH interventions. Position: HR Manager

Location: WASH Academy Campus, Reddiarchatram, Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu
Desired Qualification and Experience: Master’s in Human Resources Management with 7 to 10 years’ experience in Human Resources Management
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the human resource management team of the organization
• Partner with the management to understand and execute organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention and succession planning
• Make revisions in HR Policy as required in consultation with the management & Board
• Create a database of candidates for various technical and non-technical positions usually employed by the organization
• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Employee salary and benefits calculations and support to Finance Team
• Manage the recruitment and selection process
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Handle the leave management system
• Assess training needs of employees, facilitate and monitor training programs
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
• Nurture a positive working environment
Preferred Qualification and Experience
• Post Graduate degree in Human Resources Management/Relevant fields
• Knowledge of HR softwares is essential
• Experience of leading a HR Team is essential
• Experience of having worked for NGOs/ INGOs/ Development sector organizations is preferable
• Fluency in English and Hindi is essential

Languages
Sound knowledge of speaking, reading and writing in English is mandatory . Preference shall be given to candidates with proficiencies in additional Indian languages.
Salary Package
The annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.

The organization also has an Academy called the WASH Academy (previously known as the Formal Course Centre) in Reddiarchatram, Taml Nadu that conducts various One year and Two-Year diploma courses. The courses enable students to further their careers in government and private sectors as Sanitary Inspectors, Health Inspectors, Wastewater experts, Researchers etc.
