Senior Manager - Innovative Practices, CAFT
Reporting to: CINI Chief of Programs & Chief of Party, CAFT
Educational Qualification: Post graduate degree/ higher qualifications in Social Work/ Rural Development and Management/ Public Health
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in related field
General Criteria: Age limit 35 - 55 yrs. The candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Power point.
Remuneration: Rs 2,00,000/- per month
Place of Posting: Based at New Delhi
Job Responsibilities :
CAFT-India is a 5-year consortium program supported by the USAID Advancing Protection and Care for Children in Adversity (APCCA) and Disability Program Fund. The consortium is led by Keystone Human Services International (KHSI) and includes Hope and Homes for Children (HHC) and Child in Need Institute (CINI). With match funding from the Rural India Supporting Trust (RIST), CAFT is an ambitious system change initiative that will contribute towards strengthening local capacity to catalyze international best practices, build on the care reform momentum already underway in India, with a key focus on children with disabilities and children in adversity as a priority. CAFT-India will champion sustainable child-care reform models which can be rolled out across the country.
1. Implementation Coordination:
• Overseeing coordination between the Jharkhand implementation team and CAFT team at New Delhi and ensuring on the ground learnings and experiences are constantly fed in to the programme planning and knowledge building process.
• Ensure continuous transfer of ground-level insights, best practices, and challenges from Jharkhand to enhance CAFT’s program design and knowledge-sharing processes.
• Enriching project discussions, planning processes, risk management discussions with the experience of CINI’s implementation on care reform as well as disability.
2. Systems Engagement & State Expansion:
• Lead the enhancement of CAFT’s systems engagement strategies by leveraging CINI’s experience across seven states.
• Collaborate with state governments and regional stakeholders to design and implement state-level engagement plans, supporting the scale-up of CAFT initiatives in new geographies.
• Serving as key liasion person bringing in CINI’s networks with various line departments and civil society organisations working on varied issues linked to care reform, child protection, disability. For instance, linkages with Ministry of Health, Panchayati Raj, Women & Child development etc.
3. Risk Management:
Actively identify and mitigate potential risks by leveraging field-based learning and insights from CINI’s multi-state operations.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Representation:
• Represent CAFT in high-level meetings with key stakeholders, including USAID, donors, and government officials, to present program implementation outcomes, challenges, and strategic directions.
• Representing CAFT along side Jharkhand Program Lead to present the implementation nuances to USAID and other key stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
• Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a senior management role within child protection, disability, or care reform sectors, with the ability to drive large-scale program implementation.
• Strategic Partnership Management: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining high-level partnerships with government bodies, civil society organizations, and donor agencies.
• Program & Budget Management: Strong skills in managing multi-state programs, including budget alignment, project planning, and monitoring indicators for large, donor-funded projects (preferably USAID).
• Risk Management & Adaptability: Ability to identify and address programmatic risks, with a flexible and adaptive approach to evolving program needs across diverse states.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex programmatic details clearly to a range of stakeholders, including donors and government agencies.
