Facilitator role – Holistic Development Learning for Children Program at Govt. School
Responsible for the 360-degree transformation of the school by working with Children Teachers and Parents.
Makkala Jagriti is an NGO founded in 2003, focusing on the Holistic Development of marginalised children. We set up learning centres in Government schools, urban slums and children’s homes catering to the Holistic Development of children (6-14 years). We are looking for persons to facilitate and deliver holistic development programme activities to the children.
Qualification: Any degree
2-5 years of experience preferably in an NGO
Proficiency in the Kannada and English language
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with Teachers Parents, and children
Responsibilities:
Execute program plans tailored for children, teachers, and parents, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and developmental needs.
Establish and maintain learning centres within the school premises, fostering an environment conducive to active learning and exploration.
Cultivate a vibrant and engaging learning space for children, integrating elements that stimulate their socio-emotional, creative, physical, intellectual, and ethical development (SPICE).
Prepare and facilitate sessions in a child-centered, non-judgmental approach, emphasizing holistic development.
Coordinate with government school teachers and officials, fostering positive relationships and collaboration.
Provide support to teachers in utilizing library resources, technology, and other available educational materials effectively.
Assist teachers in implementing audio-visual teaching-learning practices to enhance classroom instruction.
Manage and optimize the use of library books as integral components of the teaching-learning strategy.
Develop Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) as necessary to support session plans.
Monitor and track individual child's learning progress, maintaining comprehensive portfolios and workbooks.
Organize and conduct parents' meetings, collaborating with coordinators and government school teachers.
Implement and enhance school practices to optimize effectiveness and educational outcomes.
Ensure adequate maintenance and availability of stationery supplies for educational activities.
Administer baseline and endline assessments to evaluate each child's learning level and progress.
Maintain accurate documentation and reports on program activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
Be flexible to travel as required to support program initiatives and activities.
Promote teachers' involvement in all school-related activities, maximizing their participation and engagement.
Provide regular progress updates and feedback to teachers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
