building strong resistance to lust for wealth and power, active non-violent opposition to all kinds of inequity and injustice producing systems and processes, and local socialisms”.

The organization is a grassroots development organization on nurturing a common space involving Adivasi and dalit women farmers, youth and small and marginal farmers from other communities along with co-strugglers/co-creators to build and strengthen solidarity with one another for a common vision of food sovereignty.

Living Farms seeks to engage a Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation officer for our various projects. This is a Bhubaneswar based position with at least 15 days travel to the field area in a month. Preference will be given to those having experience in community processes in the area of agriculture, livelihood and nutrition sector in predominantly Adivasi regions.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer (One)

• Will be placed at Bhubaneswar with 15 days travel to field area

• Preferred Qualification: Masters in Social Work/ Media / Mass Communication / Documentation / Development communications / Rural Development etc.

Job Responsibility:

• Monitoring the progress of the projects, outcome indicators and other deliverables. Identifying challenges and re-strategizing providing appropriate information.

• Preparing monitoring framework for the programs and orienting staff members on the monitoring framework and its application

• Facilitating concurrent monitoring with real time data collection at the field by using various tools like Kobo collect and similar types of application

• Documenting project activities and outcomes: Work closely with project teams to collect, analyse, and document relevant data and information about project activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts. This may include conducting interviews, surveys, and field visits.

• Writing and editing reports: Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing project progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. Prepare and submit timely reports as per the requirements of funding agencies or partners.

• Strengthening knowledge management: Develop systems for knowledge sharing and learning within the organization. Capture and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and success stories from projects to improve future programming and enhance organizational learning.

• Supporting the development of communication materials: Collaborate with the project team to contribute to the creation of promotional materials, newsletters, website content, and other communication products to raise awareness about the organization's work.

• Capacity building and training: Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance staff members' documentation skills and educate project teams on best practices in data collection, record-keeping, and reporting.

• Collaborating with partners and stakeholders: Coordinate with partner organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to gather relevant documentation, ensure information sharing, and maintain good relationships.

• Develop case studies, best practices, meeting minutes, newsletter and other communication material in coordination with team members; assist in developing knowledge products, training manuals, handbooks, audio-visual material and other publications.

• Any other responsibilities given by the organization for program and organizational development.

Experience: At least five to seven years of work experience in monitoring, evaluation and documentation, report writing, proposal development, case studies, etc.

• High level of integrity and honesty

• Command over English and Odiya language with excellent reporting skills.

• Knowledge of computers with Proficiency in MS-Office , Excel , PowerPoint and mailing

Remuneration: Rs. 60000 to Rs 65000 per month (CTC)
