Position: Consultant Nutritionist (Part-time position)

Based in: Remote, anywhere in India

Start date: at the earliest

End date: Six months with a possibility of extension

Number of posts: Maximum of two consultants

REACH is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against Tuberculosis (TB). REACH is implementing a project with the objective of providing comprehensive, family – centered nutrition for people with TB and their families in one district each of Uttarkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab.

For this project, REACH is looking for consultant nutritionists, who will provide phone and online video call based nutritional counselling to people with TB and their families. The person can be based anywhere in India, and must be willing to work remotely. Knowledge of Hindi is essential. Knowledge of Telugu and Punjabi will be an added advantage.

Specific responsibilities include

• Provide comprehensive, customised nutrition counselling to people with TB.

• Provide nutrition education to people with TB and family caregivers.

• Customise counselling and specialised diet plans for people with TB with abnormal BMI

• Multiple and regular follow-up contacts through the treatment period

• Documentation as required

• Any other relevant work as required

Qualifications, Experience, and competencies required:

• Graduate/Post graduate in Nutrition, Food, Public Health or related degree.

• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience preferred

• Knowledge of TB and Public Health preferred.

• Fluency in English, Hindi and Telugu. Punjabi will be an added advantage.

• Experience in data compilation.

• Knowledge of working in computer (MS Word & MS Excel,).

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills.
