About Reach India Trust

Reach India started its journey as a training and capacity building organization. Over the years we have developed our core expertise in training and capacity building processes and along with that have developed a comprehensive package of trainings, implementation and technical support. Reach’s core expertise reside in population health subjects including reproductive sexual health, rights, maternal and child health , nutrition, gender education, sanitation and WASH. This core is linked to other thematic areas such as livelihoods, financial education and skill building/vocational skills, as we foresee, to impart knowledge, life skills and also facilitate employment and market linkages for the young women, adolescent girls and youth.

About the Project:

Reach India Trust with support from its corporate partner Tech Mahindra Foundation is currently implementing a program on vocational skill building for unemployed and marginally poor youths. The program known as SMART promotes market appropriate skills for youths mobilised from urban slums, provide 4 months course to them, grooming them for interviews and with support of employers assist them to gain better employability options.

Job Title: IT Facilitator

Positions: 1 (One)

Location - Kolkata

Qualification: The candidate should be Graduate/BCA/Equivalent and must have minimum 2-3 years of experience (mandatory) as IT Trainer. He or she should have good command over the subject. Working experience in development sector will be preferred. Age criteria would be within 40 years.

Job Description:

Core duties and responsibilities:

• Make sure that the Students are oriented on the computer course as per the course curriculum/ content in the classroom.

• Ensure that the entire training will be imparted in a participatory mode of learning in due time in the classroom.

• Make sure that each participant is well facilitated by the delivery of course content in preparation of an effective routine and schedule.

• Preparation of profile of each selected candidate in a format and keep them as office record in the VTC, Kolkata

• Each participant will individually be counseled in such a way that ensures their success in finding a batter job in the formal sector of the economy.

• The Computer Instructor (IT)will be required to attend focus Group Discussion in the community meeting as and when required and counsel the potential candidate and getting them encouraged to attend the training course of enhancement of the compatibility of each selected candidate to explore better employment in the formal employment sector.

• The Computer Instructor (IT) will also be required to meet and counsel potential employers for the placement of the successful participants in a suitable position with an assurance of a better job.

• Any other activity as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Chief of operations and programmes, reach India Trust, Kolkata, West Bengal

Report writing and Documentation:

• Documentation and preparation of each candidate profile as Reach India initiatives

• Develop case studies and prepare communications materials as per TMF model.

• Coordinate for project documentation for Tech Mahindra Foundation

• Coordinate, implement and documentation of the social mobilization processes with the support of other staff, if any.

CTC: Up to INR 2.4 Lakh to 2.6 Lakh per Annum. (Depending on Candidate’s experience)
