About Azim Premji School
Azim Premji Schools are integral to our work in improving K-12 education in India
Safe, meaningful, inclusive – we envision schools as spaces with such qualities, and it is our endeavour to provide these to both children and educators. Azim Premji Schools are integral to our work in improving K-12 education in India.
These demonstration schools give us an opportunity to practise what we advocate and assist in our work with government schoolteachers.
We believe that quality learning occurs when there is open communication, free expression, acknowledgement of shared resources, and sensitivity towards our environment and fellow beings. We strive to provide students and members of the staff with an environment free of fears, inhibitions, and social barriers.
We established the first Azim Premji School in 2012. We now have nine Azim Premji Schools (in Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand).
