Illustration and Design of Package of Practices (PoP) for Millet
1.Background
Development Support Centre (DSC) is a resource organization which directly implements and provides knowledge-based support to organizations involved in promoting sustainable livelihoods and Participatory Natural Resource Management.
The organization was established by Late Shri Anil C. Shah in the year 1994, in response to the demand from various eminent individuals and stakeholders concerned with rural development in Gujarat.
Currently DSC covers four states of Western India through direct field initiatives in collaboration of Government Departments, CSR and other partners. DSC provides variety of services through a multi-disciplinary team of professionals that directly implements projects, helps in capacity building of key functionaries, carries out field studies and takes initiatives for research and appropriate policy changes.

2. Scope of Work
The selected agency/individual will be responsible for:
Illustration and Visual Design: Creating high-quality, clear, and easy to understand illustrations to accompany the step-by-step modules for Millet PoP (6 crops). The illustrations should be simple yet engaging, ensuring easy comprehension for diverse literacy levels.
Layout and Formatting: Designing the manual in a visually appealing and structured format suitable for print and digital use.
Language and Cultural Relevance: Ensuring illustrations and designs are relevant to local farming communities, depicting traditional and ecological millet farming practices accurately.
Final Deliverables: Providing high-resolution, print-ready files in CMYK format and digital versions optimized for online dissemination.
4. Proposal Submission Requirements
Interested candidates should submit the following:
Technical Proposal outlining the approach to illustration and design, understanding of the project, and timeline for completion.
Portfolio showcasing relevant illustration and design work.
Details of previous similar projects
Financial Proposal including a detailed budget breakdown.
5. Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
Quality of previous work and experience (40%)
Creativity and cultural relevance of proposed approach (30%)
Cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget (20%)
Timely deliverability (10%)
