Job Description

Project Officer – Agriculture to oversee and implement agricultural projects, provide technical guidance to farmers, and ensure the success of sustainable farming initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in agricultural practices, project management, and rural development.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Rural Development, or related fields.

2-5+years of experience in agricultural project management or rural development.

Knowledge of sustainable agriculture, crop management, and climate-smart farming.

Experience in community engagement, capacity building, and farmer training.

Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Ability to work in rural settings and travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and monitor agricultural projects in [target region].

Provide training and technical support to farmers on improved farming techniques.

Collaborate with stakeholders, government bodies, and NGOs for project success.

Conduct field visits, surveys, and assessments to evaluate project impact.

Promote sustainable agricultural practices, climate resilience, and resource efficiency.

Prepare project reports, documentation, and presentations.

Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively.

Facilitate farmer producer groups and market linkages for better income generation.
