Position summary:
YouthInvest is seeking a detail-oriented Project Officer (Data and Documentation) to support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) functions across its multi-district health and nutrition programme in Assam. The Officer will be responsible for implement a robust data collection, collation and reporting systems, ensuring the quality and timeliness of data shared with internal teams, district authorities, and donors. The PO will play a key role in documenting project results, success stories, and lessons learned for strategic dissemination. The ideal candidate will embody the core values of integrity, excellence, and respect, and demonstrate a collaborative and supportive approach to leadership and teamwork. The role requires regular travel across 11 districts to monitor project implementation, assess progress, identify programmatic gaps, and provide location-specific feedback to strengthen programme delivery.
The position is full-time contractual, renewable on a yearly basis, subject to performance and availability of funds.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the development and implementation of systems for routine data collection and reporting at the cluster and district levels.
• Conduct weekly and monthly field visits to monitor project activities, gather feedback, and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
• Data validation for ensuring data quality and consistency, assist field teams in conducting data quality checks and ensure proper documentation practices as per project SOP.
• Maintain the programme’s master database, ensuring accuracy, security, and integrity of the data.
• Compile and assist in analysing monthly and quarterly data from the field to produce timely reports.
• Contribute to the documentation of project processes, outcomes, and success stories for internal and external dissemination.
• Provide support in evaluation and research activities, including developing data collection tools, drafting protocols, field visits and managing IRB submissions.
• Participate in implementation of baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, and other assessments as needed.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal stakeholders, donors, and government partners.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
• Any other task as assigned
Qualification & skills required:
• Graduate/ Post-graduate with diploma in Advanced Excel, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluency in speaking Assamese, Hindi, and English with strong writing skills in English is essential.
• Must be open and flexible to travel to 11 districts on a regular basis and meet demanding work schedules.
• Well-versed with different analysis software and in large-scale quantitative data analysis using Excel and other statistical software (SPSS, SAS, or STATA) preferable.
Remuneration:
CTC will be 3.6 lakhs per annum.
