About the Project

The project on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women aims to deploy a gender-transformative approach to make women financially independent and able to lead dignified lives. The project aims to contribute to the goals, including: Women and girls are better protected from violence, exploitation and abuse and participate more in the decisions affect them; Women and girls will have increased access to support services and economic opportunities; Families and communities will have demonstrated shifts in social norms to support women and girl’s agency and decisions to practices values of gender equality; Effective accountability and monitoring mechanisms will be strengthened to ensure delivery of services under government schemes and programs.

Key responsibilities

•Conduct periodic sessions with women’s collectives on rights, entitlements, financial inclusion, livelihoods, gender-based violence, and access to justice.

•Facilitate the development and implementation of village-level micro plans.

•Conduct value-chain analysis of key commodities and support the establishment of women-owned micro-enterprises.

•Profile survivors of gender-based violence and facilitate their access to justice.

•Establish linkages for women and girls with various government schemes and programs.

•Liaise with government officials, PRI members, frontline workers, and financial institutions to ensure the effective rollout of program components.

•Prepare progress reports to track project outcomes and challenges

•Capture qualitative as well quantitative data on key project outcomes

•Identify and document case studies on key project themes, including livelihoods, social security, and access to justice.

Qualification and experience

•Graduate in any discipline of social sciences

•2-3 years of demonstrated experience in the area of livelihoods, gender, and access to justice

•Proficiency in using a computer is a must

•Proficiency in Hindi and English (Familiarity with Ho and Odia will be an added advantage)

Remuneration: INR 25000 monthly plus travel allowances per the organization’s policy.

Other requirements: A candidate must have a two-wheeler.
