About Gramin Shiksha Kendra (GSK)
Gramin Shiksha Kendra (GSK) has been working for two decades in rural Rajasthan, building pathways to quality education, equity, and dignity for marginalized communities. Our approach blends grassroots participation with thoughtful service delivery to help communities understand and transform their social realities. Our work is deeply rooted in the lived experiences of Adivasi, Dalit, and other disenfranchised communities in the Sawai Madhopur region.
About the Youth for Leadership Project
The Youth for Leadership Project is GSK’s step toward enabling systemic change—by investing in youth as active agents of social transformation. The program will support young people aged 18–35 from socioeconomically disadvantaged communities in Sawai Madhopur, Khandar, and Tonk districts to build their leadership capacities, develop a deeper understanding of constitutional and democratic values, and work toward justice and inclusion in their communities. We believe in leadership that’s rooted in self-awareness, community connection, and long-term vision.
Position Summary
We’re looking for a Program Coordinator who is not just passionate about youth work but committed to building something from the ground up. You will lead the launch, design, and execution of the Youth Fellowship Program—including recruitment of 20 fellows, co-
creating learning journeys, building partnerships, and anchoring mentorship and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of the Youth Fellowship Program
• Identify, select, and onboard 20 youth fellows from target geographies
• Co-develop and facilitate training modules focused on leadership, constitutional values, and community engagement
• Provide ongoing mentorship and support to fellows
• Support fellows in fieldwork, documentation, and issue-based community action
• Liaise with external facilitators, government stakeholders, and partner organizations
• Build a learning and feedback loop through regular monitoring and evaluation
• Develop research and reporting frameworks for internal learning and donor communication
• Ensure timely reporting and documentation of progress and challenges
Who You Are
• A self-starter with 2–5 years of field experience in education, youth work, or grassroots leadership programs
• Passionate about social justice, participatory learning, and working with youth from marginalized contexts
• Comfortable holding space for ambiguity and complexity, and committed to long-term processes of change
• Equipped with strong interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and an ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Fluent in Hindi (mandatory) and conversant in English for reporting purposes
• Familiar with basic data tracking, digital documentation, and tools like MS Office or Google Suite
• Degree in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, or related fields
Non-Negotiable Requirement
This position requires a minimum commitment of two years. The program is designed for deep engagement, and we are seeking someone who can stay the course with our team and the communities we serve. The selected person will have to go through a six-month induction process wherein he/she/they will be required to work with every project being done by GSK and mandatory teaching children in one of the two Uday Schools. This will be the probation and if the group feels that this person does not work out then they will be asked to leave.
