About the Role

We are seeking passionate and dynamic IEC Mobilizers on contract basis to drive Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns for waste segregation, sanitation, and a garbage-free city under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) project. As an IEC Mobilizer, you will engage communities, conduct awareness sessions, accompany waste collection vehicles and facilitate behavior change for a cleaner environment!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns on waste segregation.

• Mobilize residents, RWAs, SHGs, and commercial establishments towards zero-waste practices.

• Organize street plays, rallies, flash mobs, and workshops on waste management.

• Conduct training sessions for Safai Mitras and PCMC field staff.

• Promote composting awareness and decentralized waste management.

• Mobilizers must accompany waste collection vehicles and track segregation compliance.

• Maintain household records and submit geo-tagged reports monthly.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Communication, or related fields.

• Experience: Minimum One Year of experience in IEC, behavior change communication, or community mobilization.

• Skills Required:

Strong communication and public engagement skills

Proficiency in Marathi and Hindi (English is a plus)

Ability to mobilize communities and execute IEC activities

• Classification: All IEC Mobilizers will be categorized as skilled workers.

• Salary for this position is INR 27,000/- PM. Depending on experience and qualification.
