Desirable Qualifications

Graduate or Post Graduate in Agricultural engineer/Mechanical Eng./Mechatronics/ having 2-5 years of experience in product development dealing with paddy transplantation, groundnut harvesting and threshing, and other machineries such as rainwater harvesting, banana fibre double yarn twisting etc. Fresh candidates with exceptional qualifications can also be considered.

Job Description: -

1. Handson design support for the GIANs supported innovators. Stay in the field to existing users and incorporate it in redesign process

2. Identify opportunities for new products in the portfolio of products available to GIAN and its partners.

3. Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners of GIAN with respect to the portfolio of products of supported innovators entrepreneurs.

4. Review patents, study markets, study literature, benchmark to provide design support to the mostly rural but also urban innovators

5. Assist in the estimate of products with respect to material, labour, design, overheads and other costs

6. Digital skills essential like CAD as and when required using 3D modelling software to design products and components.

7. Improve the design of existing products by incorporating customer feedbacks.

8. Undertake any other responsibilities assigned from time to time by the CEO
