About PMI IMPACT
PMI IMPACT is a global initiative to support projects dedicated to reducing or preventing illegal trade, and countering its negative consequences for individuals, their families, and communities.
Public organizations, law enforcement, private entities, and nongovernmental organizations from around the world are invited to submit their project proposals for funding. Projects can range from capacity building for law enforcement agencies, to awareness programs and on-the-ground activities, in line with the theme and focus areas of the funding round. Projects are selected through a transparent and defined evaluation process, led by a council of independent experts.
PMI IMPACT supports projects covering a wide range of activities within the specific theme set for each funding round. No idea is too small, as long as a project can achieve a lasting impact against illegal trade.
Third Funding Round
PMI IMPACT, in its third funding round, welcomes new projects that will foster partnerships and create synergies to enable sustainable solutions in the battle with illegal trade. The new round particularly looks into funding projects aimed at reducing illegal trade, preventing it, and countering the negative consequences of illegal trade for individuals, their families and communities.
PMI IMPACT wants to promotes tangible and practical solutions against illegal trade.
Each applicant may submit only one project proposal in a funding round.
Applicants can be based anywhere in the world, however all proposals must address the theme and the topics of the Third Funding Round.
Topic 1: Border Control
Topic 2:Capacity Building
Topic 3: Restorative Justice & Victim's Protection
Topic 4: Network engagements, awareness building and international cooperation
Topic 5: COVID 19 and the threat of illicit trade
Budget
The total requested budget per project can range between USD 100,000 and USD 750,000, and the duration of each project can be up to two years.
The thresholds are indicative and can be subject to change by PMI, considering applications on a case-by-case basis.
WHO CAN APPLY?
PMI IMPACT is open to project proposals from public, private, or non-profit organizations, including governmental organizations, international organizations, associations, academic institutions, and corporations.
Applicants may not be:
individuals;
tobacco or electronic cigarette manufacturing companies;
or controlled by, or belong to, the same group of companies as any tobacco or electronic cigarette manufacturing company.

August 15, 2022, 23h59 CET.
