He himself is not a transgender. However he understands their minds. He is the first one to reach them whenever they are in trouble. He goes to the administration, reaches their homes to give a patient hearing to their needs and allegations. He is Matiur Rahaman from Murshidabad.
Matiur Rahaman of Karnasubarna, Murshidabad is a an employee of a private audit firm. He is constantly on the move for a livelihood. However he still manage to squeeze out some time from his busy schedule to help the transgender community. This Muslim youth is helping the members from the socially ostracized transgender community to live with dignity.
An incident happened a few days ago. For being a transgender, the academic career of Bhim Singh, a student of standadrd IX in Manikchowk High Madrasah, Murshidabad was about to end. The boy was forced to leave school due to mental harassment by his class,mates. Motiur turned saviour to help the boy. Even though Bhim was admitted in school as a male student, feminine traits within him became more evident after he progressed to class nine. His classmates jeered at him. There was no solution even after repaeted complaints to the teachers. Scared and humiliated, Bhim stopped going to school altogether or to help the boy.
