Sahayog

Sahayog is an organization that has been working since 2008 in the field of maternal and child health, tuberculosis, differently-abled citizen’s association and education rights of children in the state of Odisha. We are associated with different organizations, forums, networks and individuals to enrich our contribution in fulfilling the cherished mission of the Society, We have closely worked with National Alliance for Maternal Health and Human Rights (NAMHHR), New Delhi, Coalition for Maternal-Neonatal Health & Safe Abortion (CMNHSA), New Delhi and SAMA for Gender health, New Delhi. As a Child Health Now, Campaign core group member in Odisha, Sahayog is focused on MDG number 4 & 5. For community participation and strengthening the flagship program, ICDS organized Citizen Voice and action and build relationship in between providers and beneficiaries. We are working with the Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (JSA) for access to medicine and as a leading member in the forum Voice of Patients, which focuses on tuberculosis, issue of Citizen Report Card, integrate loss to follow up patients in treatment and focus on treatment adherence of patient and to close the gap between providers and receivers as well. In our intensive involvement in different studies focusing on maternal health in various districts of Odisha, mostly high risk districts (under achiever in comparison to Odisha state, in infant and maternal mortality as well as other health and development indicators).
