Upkar Charitable Welfare & Educational Society is a registered NGO working in Sheohar district of Bihar. Founded by Dr. Chandra Bhushan, a dedicated social activist, the organization has been working for the upliftment of the rural communities since 2007. It works in the thematic areas of health, vocational training, environment, art and culture, women empowerment, education, youth empowerment, welfare programmes for SC/ST/OBC, etc.
Upkar has established a good rapport with all its stakeholders in its area of operation and has gained credibility by maintaining honesty and transparency; this enables the organization to garner community support for the programmes it undertakes. The organization, with the valuable support of government, donors and all stakeholders, has achieved remarkable progress in all activities undertaken so far.
